G60 Science and Technology Innovation Valley in east China's Yangtze River Delta

On April 1, 2021 the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) announced a plan for the construction of the G60 Science and Technology Innovation Valley in east China's Yangtze River Delta.

The Innovation Valley focuses on artificial intelligence (AI), integrated circuits (ICs), biomedicine, high-end equipment, new energy, new materials, new energy vehicles. It involves 9 cities and districts including Songjiang District of Shanghai, Suzhou City of Jiangsu Province, Hangzhou, Huzhou, Jiaxing, Jinhua of Zhejiang Province, Hefei, Wuhu and Xuancheng of Anhui Province, with a total area of 76,200 square kilometers.

This is an important step forward for the upgrading of industrial structure and the building of a Digital Silk Road open to international cooperation and partnerships.
