On October 20, 2021, the Round Table organized by L'Orientale University of Naples and Italy Africa Business Week "Migrants: Altruistic Entrepreneurs. When the pursuit of profit is combined with social responsibility " was held online.
The meeting was organized with the support of Mehret Tewolde, CEO of Italia Africa Business Week (IABW), with the aim of promoting a debate with some entrepreneurs on the concept of altruistic entrepreneurs referring to successful foreign entrepreneurs who often pay great attention to volunteering and the positive impact of their activities on society.
The meeting was attended by over one hundred students of the International Development Cooperation 2021-2022 course who study diasporas as new actors in sustainable development.
Avv. Lifang Dong, President of the Silk Council Association, was invited as a guest speaker to share her personal and professional experience as a representative of the second generation Chinese community in Italy.
