The visit to Italy was a success and the delegation had the opportunity to meet Counselor Elena Lorenzini, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Minister Stefano Patuanelli of the Italian Ministry for Economic Development to discuss the strengthening of economic and industrial cooperation between Italy and China.
The delegation also met some directors & managers of the Italian Trade Agency: Ines Aronadio, Director of Made in Italy Export Promotion Department, Maurizio Forte, Director of Marketing Department, Filippo Lanciotti, Director of International Network and Roberto Lovato, Manager of Industrial Cooperation and International Organizations Office.
During the meeting, synergies and collaboration opportunities were discussed, such as: a possible Italian mission to Ningbo and the strengthening of cooperation between Italian companies and the Ningbo Sino-Italy Ecological Park.
During its visit to Rome, the delegation visited the Tecnopolo Tiburtino (first technological pole of the city of Rome) and Spazio Attivo Roma Tecnopolo (certified incubator for the creati
on and development of new high-tech startups). Dialogues have been launched for collaboration with the Ningbo Sino-Italy Ecological Park in the following sectors: Automotive, Aerospace, Environment-Green Economy and Life Sciences.
The Ningbo Sino-Italy Ecological Park was created in 2014 on agreements between the Italian Government and the Chinese Government. It is the only ecological park of Zhejiang Province and one of the only 8 parks for international cooperation in China. The park is strategically located in the Yangtze River Delta in Zhejiang Province. It also hosts an incubator and research and development center in collaboration with Tsinghua University. Currently there are over 70 companies, of which only 3 are Italian.
The Ningbo Sino-Italy Ecological Park, Silk Council and Dong & Partners signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The members of the Ningbo delegation finally visited Silk Council and Dong & Partners' offices in Rome, where they met the Honorary President of CNA World Indra Perera. Ningbo is one of the largest and most active commercial and port cities in China. The majority of Chinese entrepreneurs living in Italy come from that area. All this bodes well for us to continue to envisage profitable synergies between Italy and China in the various sectors in the thriving Zhejiang province.
